Applications for next year’s Wild West Country are now open, with entries distributed via a weighted lottery again this year. The lottery will remain open until 22:00 on Sunday 16th November, so you have plenty of time to apply.
As ever, we encourage anyone tempted by the lure of ultra endurance cycling to consider applying. From the outside looking in, these events can seem daunting. But it’s mostly just riding your bike a lot and eating even more.
The Wild West Country route is not designed to be easy (that would make for a remarkably dull route), but we firmly believe that finishing is a realistic goal for most cyclists with the right preparation, gearing and mindset. And the 75% finish rate from last year supports this.
