Every event is different, whether due to the conditions, the characters or the competition. But each one is unique and memorable. Throughout our events, we take hundred – often thousands – of photos, which help capture just a fraction of what the riders experience. To relive an event, take a look at the Ride in Photos below.

Mountains of the Merfynion 2024
Tough off-road routes are renowned for high scratch rates, but even getting to the start line proved to be a challenge for riders at this edition. Thanks to illnesses and injuries, just nine riders set out from Brimscombe.
The route had been adjusted slightly this year. A more challenging but more scenic option from Machynlleth to Dolgellau was added, as well as some hilltop double-track above Hirnant Pass. But most importantly, the long hike-a-bike before Nant-y-Moch was removed and replaced with an almost entirely rideable route around.
The Perfidious Albion 2024
2024 saw more riders than ever start The Perfidious Albion, which remained unchanged from the 2023 route. After several years of weather extremes, this edition was more typically British, with riders experiencing alternating sunshine and showers throughout the ride.
There was also a dramatic changing of the lead at the final checkpoint, after Alexander Spoelstra’s front brake failed with him only a few hours from the finish. He was forced to wait until a bike shop opened the next day, still managing to secure third place.

Wild West Country 2024
2024 saw Wild West Country move to a new start and finish location at The Bike Drop, based within Brimscombe Mill, just outside Stroud. As well as this, the section of the route around the Isle of Purbeck was reworked, adding the dead-end toll road to beautiful Kimmeridge Bay as a new checkpoint.
After a cold spring, the good weather arrived just in time for WWC24. However, the change was so sudden that the riders found themselves riding in temperature 10-15 degrees warmer than the previous weekend.

Mountains of the Merfynion 2023
2023 was the first edition of Mountains of the Merfynion – a route through Wales that combines everything from hike-a-bike and single track to smooth forestry tracks and sweeping asphalt.
The route proved to be as challenging as predicted, with some very slow-going sections. But the riders were tested further by a number of diversions thanks to road closures. However, the weather at least remained favourable, allowing the riders to see Wales in all its glory.

The Perfidious Albion 2023
After two previous editions that were defined by scorching heatwaves, TPA23 bucked the trend and riders were treated to high winds and persistent rain for the first few days.
Fortunately, the introduction of a halfway checkpoint for the first time gave them something to aim for. And the woodburning stove proved surprisingly popular despite it being mid-July!
